We provide Families Through Adoption is a unique agency that has staff committed to the effectiveness of the adoptive home, placing our emphasis here. Our expertise is in assisting prospective adoptive families in developing resources for creating healthy children and adults. All members of this staff have been directly impacted by adoption and are committed to this cause. We partner with other agencies to meet the needs of birth mothers as well as other ethical programs to facilitate successful and ethical adoptions, both internationally and domestically. Home Studies
The main purpose of a Home Study is to determine if the prospective adoptive family is able and fit to raise an adopted child(ren). A secondary goal is to educate and prepare the parent(s) so they can handle the issues they will face. The details of the home study will vary based on the where the child being adopted resides.
Post Placement
Post-Placement reports are intended to evaluate how the adopted child(ren) are adjusting to their new home. FTA’s goal is to support the family from before the adoption until the the child(ren) become independent.
