Services

The main purpose of a Home Study is to determine if the prospective adoptive family is able and fit to raise an adopted child(ren). A secondary goal is to educate and prepare the parent(s) so they can handle the issues they will face. The details of the home study will vary based on the where the child being adopted resides.

Post-Placement reports are intended to evaluate how the adopted child(ren) are adjusting to their new home. FTA’s goal is to support the family from before the adoption until the the child(ren) become independent.

To support each family in their journey from adoption to each child’s independence, FTA offers a wide variety of education and support groups.
