Charlene Lanning, MA
Executive Director, Adoption Worker
Char is one of the founders of FTA, which began in 2006 to help families to grow through adoption. Her passion is growing and supporting the development of healthy families. Char and her husband have three adopted children, two daughters from China and one son from Ohio. In her spare time she enjoys exploring old towns and spending time with her family.
Audrey Brown, BSW
Social Services Supervisor, Adoption Worker
Audrey has worked with adoptive families for over 35 years, and joined the FTA staff in March of 2020. She and her husband have five adult children, the youngest of whom joined their family through the gift of adoption. They also provided foster care for over 40 children. In addition, they now have seven grandchildren. In her free time, Audrey has a passion for baking, cooking and knitting.
Chloe Kuhns, BA
Office Manager, Adoption Worker
Chloe has worked at FTA since 2017, both in the office and in her role as adoption worker. She is the oldest of four children in her family, with both biological and adopted siblings, Chloe’s heart for adoption starts with the understanding of what adoption means for a family and also her passion for seeing all of the children in the home, both biological and adopted, thriving. In her free time, you can find her enjoying a good cup of coffee, reading a book, or out on the lake with her husband.
Melissa Green, BSHS
Adoption Worker
Melissa and her husband have two boys. Melissa served as a missionary at an orphanage in the Philippines in 2006, and has a huge passion for adoption and helping children and families. Melissa has a degree in Human Services and loves volunteering at her church in the children’s programs. She has volunteered and worked for FTA in the past, and began working as an adoption worker in 2022. In Melissa’s spare time she loves to read, scrapbook, exercise, and spend time with her family.
Danielle Oliver, SST
Adoption Worker
Danielle has over fourteen years of experience in adoption and is honored to be a part of many adoption journeys! She has a degree in social work and also has ten years of working with pregnant women and infants throughout her county, prior to her fourteen years of work in adoption. She began working for FTA in February of 2024. Danielle enjoys caring for their small farm with her husband, canning, volunteering at her church, and spending time with her family. She and her husband have three adult children.
